Chris became the first NBDL player to sign an agreement with an NBA team.   Very sporty by temperament, he likes to force the ball. He has shot blocking skills and seems to attempt too many things on the field.

In 2001 NBDL Draft made by the Fayetteville Patriots he was selected in the first round (first pick overall). When with the Patriots he averaged 6.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg and 2.50 bpg in six games. He became the first-ever "call up" from the NBDL when he signed with the Denver Nuggets as an unpaid agent in 2001. The same year Anderson played for Cleveland Rocky Mountain Revue, averaging 4.8 ppg and 2.0 rpg in five games. He also played for the Fargo-Moorehead Beez in the IBA.
